What I've wrote affects Ubuntu 8.10 with all applications updated until 08-04-09 and kernel 2.6.27-11-generic. Referring to the time problem that I've explained, I've noticed that if you assign an specific hour for an automatic shutdown, for example, 04:06 and the actual time is 04:05 and have passed 30 seconds, the computer won't shutdown at 04:06 because it doesn't take in account the 30 seconds that have passed in 04:05 so the computer will shutdown after 30 seconds of 04:06.
