@Matthew, I highly doubt we'd be covering the same points if they weren't still a problem and concern to users. The fact that this problem still remains after that initial discussion indicates that at least some users (myself included) don't appreciate this change and think it's a bad idea. One I'd like to see officially reverted prior to Jaunty's release.
