Public bug reported: I attempted to install libgif-dev so that Mplayer could use and see gifs. When issueing the command
sudo apt-get install libgif-dev I receive the following output Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libgif-dev: Depends: libgif4 (= 4.1.4-1) but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages I then attempted to install the depends and was presented with the following screen: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install libgif4 libgif-dev Reading package lists...
