*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 352159 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352159

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

- version: Intrepid Ibex, 9.04, all newer updates as of 04/03/2009
+ ubuntu version: 9.04
  kernel: 2.6.28-11.39
  alsa-base: 1.0.18.dfsg-1ubuntu7
  pulseaudio: 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu16

  sound card: Intel 82801CA-ICH3 on an IBM T30 laptop, so using the
  intel_8x0 module

  After a few days of frequent crashes that started with the last (?)
  pulseaudio upgrade, I started it with: sudo pulseaudio -vvvv --system
  --high-priority

  After a few minutes (from at little as 1, to maybe 8 when I'm lucky) of
  playing sound with any application (podcasts with firefox, videos with
  mplayer, totem or vlc, even small games like opentyrian)... pulseaudio
  will crash with the following error:

  E: rtpoll.c: Assertion 'usec <= ((pa_usec_t) 1000000ULL)*60ULL*60ULL'
  failed at pulsecore/rtpoll.c:516, function
  pa_rtpoll_set_timer_relative(). Aborting.

  Hope someone finds the cause / solution soon!

  Alex

  NB: I think this bug might be related to bug #338377 , but since he
  doesnt give any details...

  Also, on a side note, I have configured pulse to be a system-wide deamon
  instead of per-user session instance, since the later never worked in
  the first place for me. It worked fine even in pre-beta 9.04.
