Pedro, I launched pidgin with valgrind as per directions. While using it, it suddenly became unresponsive. Typical white and grey window, no more text or anything rendered. Pidgin icon disappeared from the gnome menu.
After a while, I killed it. Please find attached the collected valgrind report, it seems that several memory leaks are present.
