Public bug reported:

Confirmed in two Edgy installations: 32 bits ABIT AN832X SLI motherboard, and
x86_64
HP xw9300 (TYAN K8W3 motherboard).

If I copy a big file from command-prompt to USB stick, and then go to the icon
and select
"Safely Remove", the USB stick will immediately unmount, instead of popping up
a dialog
like it did in Dapper. Even worse, the directory entry for the file is written
(the file shows as
full size), but the file will of course be truncated, causing corruption on the
disk.

Please Fix !!!

In Dapper, when I copied a big file from the console prompt, and rapidly went
to the desktop
icon and selected Safely Remove, a dialog box will pop-up saying something like
"waiting...".
Then it will dissapear and my copy and unmount will be complete.
