Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
Ubuntu 8.10, "Document Viewer 2.24.1" I have certain keyboard shortcuts I set up in System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts for controlling the media player (Ctrl+Alt+P = Play/Pause, Alt+Shift+RightArrow = Next Track, Alt+Shift+LeftArrow = Previous Track). Whenever I open a document in evince (mostly PDFs, but I don't think it matters), those shortcuts stop working until I de-iconify Rhythmbox (the media player) and re-iconify it. Let me know if you think this is a Rhythmbox bug (although I don't see how it would be), so I can report it there. The shortcuts are disabled even if I minimize evince or even if I'm on another desktop where there's no evince window. $ apt-cache policy evince evince: Installed: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://ro.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evince Package: evince 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evince Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic i686 ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Evince messes up my Gnome keyboard shortcuts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/355733 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
