I've tested this again with edgy final, and i get the exact same behaviour. Following from juan's mention of 'lshal -m' above, i've done some testing:
1. Boot edgy, run 'lshal -m', press fn+f3: keypress event is visible 2. Press fn+f3 again: keypress event does not occur 3. Suspend edgy, unsuspend edgy, press fn+f3 again: keypress event does not occur 4. Hibernate edgy, unhibernate edgy, press fn+f3 again: keypress event does not occur 5. Reboot edgy, press fn+f3: keypress event is visible So, it seems pretty clear that it is not a hardware issue, otherwise hibernate/unhibernate should have cleared it. I'm changing the affected package to the kernel for now, as i'm not sure where exactly it should be against. ** Changed in: Ubuntu Sourcepackagename: None => linux-source-2.6.17 Importance: Undecided => Low -- battery status popup only displays once https://launchpad.net/bugs/55244 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
