With linux-backports-modules-jaunty it does work!
With vanilla 2.6.29 or ubuntu 2.6.28 + linux-backports-modules-jaunty I
sometimes get the following messages when rebooting/halting:
iwl3945: Error: Response NULL in 'REPLY_ADD_STA'
