I have a similar issue, could be the same bug - could be something else. I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 (beta) x86 with KDE 4.2.2. My keyboard is Chery - eVolution Stream Corded Multimedia Keyboard. After some hours logged in, the keys stop working. Un->In-plugging the keyboard doesn't fix the problem. Restarting the X-server does. The bug is hard to reproduce, for it seems to occur only after some hours of working. If you have some suggestion what kind of actions cause this behavior, I'll be happy to try it out.
