I confirm this for the HP Mini 1000 (1120NR with SSD drive) with the alternate lpia ISO.
The kernel module necessary to recognize SSD drives isn't loaded as it is not available on the ISO. This is a regression from previous iso for 8.10. The Jaunty MID Live CD has the module and works fine with the SSD drive. I think the kernel module name is: ssb I believe this bug only affects Ubuntu, not usb-creator nor the dell mini project. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: usb-creator Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: dell-mini Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - Jaunty lpia hd-media kernel fails on dell mini 9 + Jaunty alternate lpia ISO or hd-media is missing SSD support -- Jaunty alternate lpia ISO or hd-media is missing SSD support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354226 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
