Public bug reported:

Jaunty i386 - up-to-date as of Sat. 4th April.
Dell Inspiron 1525 with an Intel GM965 chipset with an X1300
graphics card. The 'low' %CPU 7 to a 'high' %CPU 13, is with Desktop effects
enabled (just the
default ones) and with the Desktop effects turned off, Xorg gives a 'low' of
%CPU 2 and a 'high'
of %CPU 6 .

I'm sure that with desktop effects turned off Xorg's CPU usage should
really be near zero.
