@Chris: lesson learnt, I did not know the proper procedure. I was actually surprised that I'm allowed to assign people to the bugs, it was too tempting not to try. Suggestion: I guess launchpad can be modified to remove the possibility for everyone (like me) to do this and let only developers pick up bugs. In this case, the only option would have been to notify Martyn, by subscribing him, and he will pick up the bug (or ignore it).
