Public bug reported: On the 7.04 Feisty installer, the OS crashes when selecting the keyboard layout and continuing to the next step in installation. The crash instantly corrupts the screen and the whole screen turns to a light brown colour with a pattern of artifacts.
This happens with the default Vesa drivers or when switching to nv by editing xorg.conf. This makes it seemingly impossible to continue installation or use the OS on the desktop CD, the only way to remove this blanked out screen is to press "ctrl+alt+backspace" to restart X or "ctrl+alt+F1" to go to a real console.
