CMake in Ubuntu is versioned at 2.6.2, which breaks on some CMakeLists.txt files. See for example: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/fc-solve-discuss/message/927 There's already 2.6.3: http://packages.debian.org/sid/devel/cmake So I suggest you upgrade to it in all the relevant releases.
