This is a summary of this bug's evolution and a 9.04 beta update. 7.10 : suspend and restore worked (by BIOS) 8.04a5 : (up to) only suspend "works"; resume crashes 8.04a6 : suspend itself crashes. 8.10 : idem 9.04 : suspend does nothing and X may freeze.
A copy of /var/log is attached in two 9.04 cases : log1 : suspend from session menu does not suspend. Ctrl-Alt-F1 goes to a working command line. Ctrl-Alt-F7 sees X restart log2 : suspend from GDM screen causes black screen and frozen X. X was killed and restarted in tty6 before copying /var/log. ** Attachment added: "9.04 update" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24714367/suspend-Tecra8000.9.04.log.tar.gz -- ACPI wakeup crashes on Toshiba (Tecra 8000) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/193738 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
