I am also experiencing a serious problem with Firefox disappearing, for me, in Firefox 3.0.3. I think it's the same problem as is afflicting everyone else. Allow me to clarify the nature of the problem.
When viewing a video in Youtube, either whilst I am watching the video, or whilst the video is playing music whilst I'm working elsewhere in the room, or when a loaded video is simply paused and ready to play, the Youtube screen portal will for no apparent reason simply vanish. There is no warning, no other activity on or off the screen, and no apparent explanation. Firefox remains open, and remains at the page which had previously been displaying the content which I had been viewing. However, the video section of the Youtube webpage simply vanishes and turns to the same shade of white as the rest of the background of the Youtube webpage. The problem is mystifying! And yes, this only happens with Youtube in Firefox. It has never happened with any other website or application. And just to clarify, my sound works perfectly in Firefox. Does anyone know what is causing this problem, which appears to be so widespread, and what can be done to fix it? Also, are all the people who are experiencing this problem, also experiencing it in a Ubuntu Linux environment? -- Firefox Disappears For No Apparent Reason https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203222 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
