Ubuntu 8.10/Msi Radeon HD4830 512mb..Phenom II 940/8gb ddr2 800/---
amdcccle version 9.2(amd-driver-installer x86 64 9.2.run)
Using an DVI to HDMI cable to connect to 46 in samsung monitor.
1280x720 freezes upon monitor power cycle( turn monitor off then back on
and ubuntu is frozen).. i can move the mouse but cannot ctrl alt
backspace( dont zap=false) the only recourse is to reset or power down
the computer..the same thing with standby..once the screen goes in to
standby/low power.i get a grey and white login box with no words and a
functional mouse..
1920x1080.. no problems...
no problems with Windows xp either( GASP)
i really really dont wanna go back to windows.. help..
