If you needed to move it to /root/.mozilla/plugins then you must be logging
into your system as root.
If you are any other user then you'd be using
/home/username/.mozilla/plugins for sure.
Not sure what is going on there but glad you got it working... I'm just a
little puzzled that you might be logging in as root in every session :)
