As I mentioned earlier
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/knetworkmanager/+bug/280762/comments/59),
I could get a static IP connection to work under Kubuntu Intrepid.
Now I installed "ubuntu-desktop" to have also the Gnome alternative. Since
then, my static IP disappeared when in KDE! Only when I click on my connection
in KNetworkManager to reconnect I get the static IP back.
I think maybe the problem is that the nm-applet connects with the Gnome
settings before the start of KDE.
I did not try to uninstall anything yet, fearing I'd loose all connectivity...

knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I
have configured.
