** Description changed: There were no problems to boot ubuntu 9.04 alpha 6 64-bit desktop from - usb stick for me, but the beta fails. + usb stick for me, but the beta fails (both 32-bit and 64-bit). At first everything seems to be normal, till the boot splash appears. Than there are multiple HDD actions (on my internal HDD, not on the USB- stick). Using alt + F1 I get the following error message: modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.28-11-generic/modules.dep: No such file or directory After waiting some time (about one or two minutes) without any changes I come to a console. The file mentioned in the error message is available from that console. Thanks for trying to solve that issue.
