After reading http://unix.derkeiler.com/Mailing- Lists/FreeBSD/stable/2009-02/msg00306.html I've stopped using HAL to detect my mouse and keyboard. I added the following to my xorg.conf:
Section "ServerFlags" Option "AutoAddDevices" "off" EndSection And then uncommented the lines that had been commented out when I upgraded to Intrepid. I can now take the keyboard into the furthest room in the house and still have its input recognised. So: Not a hardware problem, or poor signal strength. But although I have a workaround, the bug isn't fixed. Should I be reporting this as a bug in HAL? -- Wireless keyboard stops accepting most (but not all) key presses https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305955 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
