Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
1) Ubuntu 9.04 Beta (x86) 2) Version from installation DVD. 3) I just want to enter my login/password and log in. 4) Frozen logon screen with some graphical glitches. Machine configuration: - AMD Athlon XP 2500+ - 1.5 GB of DDR RAM - ATI Radeon HD 3650 512mb GDDR2 (AGP Version) What have I tried to do: <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<F1> logged in $ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop [OK] $ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start [OK] result: Same frozen logon screen. P.S. Gdm could not start in live session either. I used text mode installation. And yes, before installation I've checked DVD integrity, it was fine. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Logon screen just freezes at startup. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
