great - works for me, BUT i had to update the UUID (mdadm --detail, not vol_id /dev/md...) in /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf for it to assemble on boot, because I had had to recreate it each time I booted. This won't of course affect people who go straight to the fixed mdadm from intrepid.
