Because of this bug, other functions that need the identity matrix and they count on the cvSetIdentity are erroneous. For example, the Kalman filter is unusable if you go to more than 3 dimensions. I don't want to get into details and list all the functions that are affected by this problem.
Anyway, in the Version 1.0 they are all fixed. Problem is, there is no version 1.0 yet in Ubuntu and as far as I can tell today, not in the 7.4 either :(.
