Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
I downloaded 9.04 beta i386 desktop CD image, wrote it on USB drive. Restarted the system and started Ubuntu without installing it, everything was fine. Clicked on the desktop icon "install" to install Ubuntu, answered to language, time and keyboard settings. Then the installer warned me that device sdb (the USB drive I was using to run Ubuntu) had mounted partitions. Asked me if I wanted to unmount them but the dialog only showed "go back" and "continue" (while I believe "yes" or "no" would have been more appropriate!), however, by clicking on "continue" it just kept to show me the same dialog, by clicking "go back" it indeed went back to the previous step, but then I was not able to continue installation. By clicking next it just kept loading (I don't know what) without going on. Maybe the installer should ignore the USB drive which is used as live CD during installation. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Installation fails from live USB https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/349433 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
