I added the package "community-themes" as affected by this bug as well because the themes Dust, Kin, New Wave they all ship in that package.
Of course, some people download dust.tgz manually and drag it into the gnome "Appearence" window but I guess these people have to download a new version of dust manually.. it's better to use the package instead of polluting the file system with untracked files. Still, I wonder how many people have actually installed dust this way? If it's a lot of people then we might still get tons of people complaining about this bug even though it's fixed in the packages? The ubuntu wiki even says you should do the .tgz drag and drop trick instead of recommending that users install the community-theme package if they want "dust" (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/DustTheme?action=show&redirect=Artwork%2FIncoming%2FIntrepid%2FDustTheme ). I'm worried that maybe we're setting people up for problems when we first recommend that people install themes using .tgz file and then we upgrade the theme engine breaking their themes etc. -- "highlight_ratio" will be deprecated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345417 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
