The result of the command is "AMILO M". I haven't yet tried the config modification, because the things have changed a little after installing Edgy, not Dapper, so maybe new information changes your vision of the problem a little (just for convenience, I want you to know all I know before we start experiments ;)
The first problem stays the same in Edgy, nothing changed. The second problem is partly solved: when system resumes from suspend- to-disk, it comes up with no problems at all. In suspend-to-ram case it wakes with the screen out, as I described, but if I use CTRL+ALT+F[something] to switch to virtual console, the screen turs on and works. CTRL+F7 brings me back to GNOME with the screen working. This trick was not possible in Dapper, but in Edgy it works. By the way, the "AMILO M" section in the config you mentioned already contains ACPI_SLEEP thing (but not SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE). Should I add it? -- No screen upon ACPI resume from suspend to ram https://launchpad.net/bugs/50960 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
