This bug is still present now in 1.8.4-3ubuntu1. It seems like Gnumeric ignores last ten lines of text, e.g. when importing thirty lines, Text Import Configuration dialog offers only lines from line one to line twenty, while stating "20 of 30 lines to import". Changing the value of the last line number by hand doesn't help.
