I think I found the problem but I couldn't find the answer, the problem is that the installer can't write on the external drive as a normal user, so does the Genome partitioning tool, it can't format any of the partitions, it just shows a lock icon near them, I tried to log-in as a root but I couldn't, I tried to log-in as a root from the terminal then run the installation command but that way didn't work either, I found that the permissions of the Linux partition were rwxr-xr-x so I changed it to rwxrwxrwx and that allowed me to write files manually on it but not the installer nor nor the Genome partitioning tool.
