Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu Jaunty and when powering off the Laptop (Toshiba satellite A100-1HY) it seems that all is working except powering it off at the end of the shutdown process. I see the progress bar finishing and then only a black screen with a cursor blinking, and nothing happens (So i am forced to shut down it directly pressing the power off button for 10 seconds). I tried to add some options such as hpet=disable and acpi=off to the kernel but nothing changes. It was working with the Jaunty alpha 4.
