The messages are usually information-only. You don't say whether this occurs after the PC was hibernated and then it fails to resume and instead does a complete restart. If so, that *is* a bug.
However, if the messages are the expected ones for any normal boot then there is no problem. Each time the kernel boots from disk (cold start/ resume from hibernate are the same thing initially) it looks for a hibernate image. If it doesn't find one it reports it PM: Resume from disk failed. and continues with a 'normal' boot. ** Changed in: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Assignee: Ubuntu Kernel ACPI Team (ubuntu-kernel-acpi) => TJ (intuitivenipple) -- Intrepid: Resume from disk failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
