Thanks for looking into that, Bon. I would like to add more info from my experience for anyone else that might be going through the same issues. I managed to capture a screenshot of the exact error I am getting. Once again, this is after I try going into the backend setup (System...Administration...MythTV Backend Setup). And still, once again, I am running a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 6 with MythTV 0.21.0+fixes...
