Can you ensure, that this bug will be fixed in jaunty (before release)? then
it's ok.
If not, please try to push forward the fix into jaunty. (it is not too late
(alpha), This one is a known bug, and you have a working fix.)
Otherwise, every HP HDX 16/18 will get sound problems at April 23rd.
