I can confirm this one. I have HP Compaq 6710b with integrated Intel
GM965/GL960, a part of lspci's output follows:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a02] (rev 0c)
        Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:30c0]
Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr-
Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort-
<MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
        Latency: 0
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 2297
        Region 0: Memory at e4600000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M]
        Region 2: Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
        Region 4: I/O ports at 4000 [size=8]
        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel modules: intelfb

The system hangs spontaneously and unpredictably, usually when I do something
which causes the screen to update. Mouse cursor moves but the system doesn't
respond to neither mouse nor keyboard. All special buttons (eg. Power) also
don't work.

The OS itself, however, keeps functioning: programs work and I can ssh
into it and even reboot it with a command.
