Why is there a fglrx kernel module in the linux-restricted-
modules-2.6.17-10-generic package? And how can I build the restricted
modules package myself for my own kernel?

The kernel-source-fglrx is not used to build the standard ubuntu kernel,
so I suppose this package is pretty uninteresting to any of the ubuntu
developers ... !?

You can at least get around this Makefile problem with a little trick.
Extract the kernel-source-fglrx tarball.
copy /usr/src/modules/fglrx-kernel/fglrx/build_mod/2.6.x/Makefile to
/usr/src/modules/fglrx-kernel/fglrx/build_mod/2.6.x/Makefile.kbuild

While generating the package rules seem to remove the makefile and put a
symlink to a non existent file in place.
