Public bug reported: Hello,
I have new problem nearly with my Ubuntu 8.10. My laptop total freezing after login ! Screen look like a screenshot, no keyboard, numlock LED don't work, i have the mouse sometimes that's ALL. Magic shortcut CTRL+ALT+PRTSRC+R+E+I+S+U+B doesn't work trought. So force restart my laptop by pressing power button, after few freezes, I restart In recovery mode and I inspect my log. I just found anormal entry in auth.log : gdm[xxxx]: pam_ck_connector(gdm-autologin:session): nox11 mode, ignoring PAM_TTY :0 At this time, I just remerber my last action before I have the first Freeze. I disconnect my second screen on my laptop. (The first time i plug my second screen, i remember that gnome prompt me to write something in xorg.conf, before I just use the autoconf). So, I try, in recovery mode, to remove the actual xorg.conf and reload the old xorg.conf backup (who was empty). Actually no new freeze but it's certainly too nearly for say that. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Total PC freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/341448 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
