Can''t explain this but gstreamer-0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.10-1ubuntu1 was not installed
libdvdread4 is v4.1..3-4ubuntu1 So with that in mind I installed gstreamer0-10-plugins-bad and now the DVD menus work fine. Can't say for sure but my guess is that it was the missing gstreamer- plugins-bad that was causing the problem. Thanks for the help!! I would say this ticket could be closed.
