Have you run the memtest86+ memory checker? It can be found by pressing ESC when the bootloader prompts you do to so (you should get about 3 seconds to do this). This is just to check and see if your new memory is faulty or not.
Sometimes these hardware problems can be intermittent and it seems to be related to the software. It can also be a function of how memory is allocated.
