Public bug reported: Although in Alpha 5 the connection works perfectly fine, in the updates applied a few days after there must have been a regression in the ath5k driver which stops the AR5007 wireless card from connecting. When I attempt to connect, I get the one green light and a spinning symbol in the tray icon however it stays at this stage for about 30 seconds and then disconnects itself. Dmesg shows that the connection timed out.
I now have the connection working using ndiswrapper and the net5211 drivers for Windows so Im guessing this means its a driver problem - usually I use the ath5k driver. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Jaunty Regression: ath5k with AR5007 no longer connecting in Jaunty + Jaunty Regression: ath5k with AR5007 no longer connecting in Jaunty after alpha 5 -- Jaunty Regression: ath5k with AR5007 no longer connecting in Jaunty after alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339330 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
