Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When exporting a document as pdf, the ending .pdf is automatically attached to the filename and if a file with that name already exists, it is overwritten, but there is no warning. If the filename is given explicitly with the ending .pdf, then there is a warning that a file will be overwritten. Reproduce: - Export a document as pdf. Choose the name "foobar" - The file will be saved as "foobar.pdf" - Change the file and export it again, choose "foobar" as name - The new pdf will also have the filename "foobar.pdf" and thus overwrite the old file without warning Greetings Stephan ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/lib/openoffice/program:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- pdfexport overwrites files without warning https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/338640 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
