OK, I've got some more data to share. It looks like the various /etc/acpi/suspend.d scripts are not being called (at least not in Kubuntu Intrepid). I added a command to touch a file in /tmp at the beginning of /etc/acpi/sleep.sh and this file does not appear when I checked after resume. I similarly confirmed that the generation and execution of the module unloaded list is not happening.
As a check, I manually ran /etc/acpi/sleep.sh and found that via-rhine is properly unloaded and my progress marker file gets touched. So unless there's interest in debugging why via-rhine can't survive a suspend, this part of my bug belongs to some other Ubuntu subsystem (acpi scripts?)... and I have an acceptable workaround too (SUSPEND_MODULES). The uhci_hcd issue remains, however. Looks like it broke somewhere between 2.6.24 and 2.6.27... If Ubuntu provides more mainline kernel versions I can narrow this down further. -- [intrepid] Kernel warning, network and usb mouse fail after resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281089 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
