Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
While similar to other bugs being reported, I have actually had a different experience. quick search works as a filter, but if I type more than one letter then only installed packages remains. only typing one letter appears to work normally. I would expect it to filter through package names containing the quick search sequence, like grep. doing a normal search results in the intersection. ubuntu 9.04 daily March 2, 2009 AMD64 $ apt-cache policy synaptic synaptic: Installed: 0.62.5ubuntu1 Candidate: 0.62.5ubuntu1 Version table: *** 0.62.5ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- quick search only displays installed packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337061 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
