Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

While similar to other bugs being reported, I have actually had a
different experience.

quick search works as a filter, but if I type more than one letter then
only installed packages remains. only typing one letter appears to work
normally.

I would expect it to filter through package names containing the quick
search sequence, like grep. doing a normal search results in the
intersection.
