No, a sound chip is a sound chip.There are chips which are only usable in windows maschines, because there are only (fully) usable using windows because of driver issues. However, it would be really nice if you could provide the output requested by "Mackenzie Morgan, using the soundcard which you tried to use when you reported the problem " . That's important for the debugging process.
