so I tried "sudo modprobe acpi-cpufreq" and: FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.17-10-generic/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq /acpi-cpufreq.ko): Device or resource busy Any clue ? It is very nasty not to have my cpu running at its maximum freq.
