Many thanks TJ for looking into this. Unfortunately, I'm still seeing this issue after installing via-rhine-dkms 1.4.4-0ubuntu1~ppa2i, having removed via-rhine from my SUSPEND_MODULES in /etc/pm/config.d/.
I'm not able to say whether I had this problem on Hardy, as other issues were preventing S3 suspend from working on my board then. I'll attach the relevant bit of my kern.log, though it's basically the same as Emmanuel's original one.
