Hello,
i could solve the problem in the following way:
i installed ubuntu 8.04. then i got the newest kernel from an external
data device and installed it. with the new hardware support i could
connect to the internet and upgrade to ubuntu 8.10. since that time i
use ubuntu 8.10 without any problems.
but i dont know, where the difference between the two ways is that make
it running now.
i hope i could help you to make ubuntu more better.
