I see the same thing as originally reported. I'm running Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 3.5 (yes, the older KDE), 64-bit, nVidia proprietary driver 177.82, Firefox 3.0.6. Doing anything inside the Add-Ons window is very slow and causes the Xorg CPU usage as viewed by top to burst higher. This happens for me in the Add-Ons window on the Extensions tab.. even when I just scroll up and down... lasts for a couple of seconds. If I enable/disable an extension, the "Restart Firefox" button takes a long time to scroll on. All of X seems to be blocked for these couple of seconds.
