Public bug reported: Running Feisty current as of now.
After the update to klibc-utils 1.4.30-3ubuntu1 the fstype binary no longer works. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# /usr/lib/klibc/bin/fstype < /dev/sda2 stdin: error 0 This then causes any initramfs generated to not know the root filesystem type and therefore not boot. More specifically, on line 53 of the initramfs copy of /usr/share /initramfs-tools/scripts/local modprobe fails because $FSTYPE is not set. This in turn causes the mount of / to fail. ** Affects: klibc (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Assignee: Colin Watson Status: Confirmed -- fstype error causes the root filesystem to not mount https://launchpad.net/bugs/76675 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
