I did try but ended up with the same non-useful file, and I think I've
wasted enough time on this. However, the other day I started up evoluion,
and instead of clicking on the calendar icon in the left panel I went up to
view, window, and clicked on calender and voila, it came up. Calendar now
seems to work regardless of where I start it from. Strange, but problem
solved for the time being.
